We are proud to highlight the participation of Dr. Omar Abdulwahid and Dr. Ahmed Suhail in the Sustainability Week Festival, held at the University of Mosul on April 21, 2025.
Dr. Omar Abdulwahid showcased two projects under the SolaWare initiative, both aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2, 7, 9, and 13). The first project, titled “Design and Implementation of AI-Driven Vehicle Powered by Solar Energy for Security Applications”, integrates artificial intelligence with solar technology to enhance security systems in a sustainable way. The second project, “Design and Implementation of a Controlled Greenhouse-Based Solar Power System”, focuses on sustainable agriculture through efficient, solar-powered greenhouse management.
Dr. Ahmed Suhail also made a significant contribution to the festival. He presented a Smart Car project, which supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Additionally, he introduced the International Student Training Program on Solar Energy, aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), designed to equip students with practical experience and knowledge in solar energy technologies.
We extend our sincere thanks to the University of Mosul for organizing this impactful event and providing a platform for academic and technological innovation that drives sustainability forward.
