School Training day

As part of the ongoing cooperation between the University of Mosul and the Nineveh Directorate of Education, and in collaboration with Teesside University in the United Kingdom, and within the framework of the international program organized by the University of Mosul with support from the British Council, the Department of Renewable Energy hosted a group of students from secondery schools in Nineveh.

The visit began with an introductory presentation about the Department of Renewable Energy, during which students received a detailed explanation of renewable energy technologies—including solar cells and hydrogen—along with the characteristics and significance of each type. The students also toured the department’s scientific laboratories, where they were introduced to various practical experiments in the field.

This visit comes as part of the Solaware project activities, supported by the British Council, which aim to raise awareness among students about the importance of clean energy in electricity generation. The activity represents a significant step toward promoting environmental awareness and encouraging young people to think of innovative and sustainable solutions for Iraq’s future energy needs.
