Date and time
Monday at 9:00 am on 1st July (Induction to the clean room and cleaning process)
This session will cover full induction of the clean room used to prepare nano and micro devices. It will also display the important equipment employed in the manufacturing of Solar cells.
Wednesday at 9:00 am on 3th July (Lithography)
It will display the process needed to create patterns of semiconductors, metals and insulator onto specific areas of Si substrates.
Monday at 9:00 am on 8th July (Sputtering process)
The session will show the sputtering process of metals and insulators needed to prepare Si solar cells. Besides, it will show the important factors affect on sputtered layers.
Wednesday at 9:00 am on10th July (Wet transfer process of CVD graphene)
It will present the wet transfer process needed to transfer CVD graphene onto Si substrates.

About This Event
This event will present the manufacturing of graphene/Si Schottky junction solar cells. It is suited for anyone who are interested in renewable energy and sustainability from the College of Engineering or Science. It is organised by Teesside University and the University of Mosul as part of the ‘Solar Energy for a Decarbonised Future – Knowledge Transfer for Environmental Education and Awareness (SolAware)’ project, which is funded by the British Council, Research Environments Grants 2023-24. The event includes all sessions required to prepare devices. Besides, there is a session about introducing the lab (clean room) that is required for fabricating devices. These sessions will be presented with PowerPoint slides and recorded videos of experiments.
