This session will cover induction to solar cells including their types and how to build up solar cell devices. Also, it will present the cleaning process and Lithography that are required in the manufacturing of Solar cells.

Wednesday at 10:00 am on the 3rd of July (Sputtering and Wet transfer of CVD graphene processes) (online via zoom)

The session will show the sputtering process of metals and insulators needed to prepare Si solar cells. Additionally, it will show the important factors affecting sputtered layers. Besides, it displays the wet transfer process needed to transfer CVD graphene onto Si substrates to complete the graphene/Si Schottky junction solar cells.

About This Event

 

This event is a part of the joint project ‘Solar Energy for a Decarbonised Future – Knowledge Transfer for Environmental Education and Awareness (SolAware)’ between the University of Mosul and Teesside University. The project is funded by the British Council, Research Environments Grants 2023-24. The training provides theoretical and practical skills through summer training for undergraduate students of both the College of Engineering and Sciences. The training will take place at the central lab at the College of Science during the month of July 2024. It will improve their skills and knowledge for those who are interested in renewable energy and sustainability from the College of Engineering or Science.
